Clinical and Forensic Psychologist

Patrick Newton, MAPS, FCFP, FCCLP

Patrick Newton is one of Melbourne's most experienced and respected Forensic Psychologists. He has assessed several thousand individuals involved with various courts and has given evidence in hundreds of cases.

Patrick is an expert in the assessment and treatment of offenders. Many of his cases involve people charged with sexual and violent offending, major financial crime or major drug-related matters, but Patrick also works with many 'everyday' cases involving less serious matters.

Patrick has given evidence in some of Victoria's most high-profile cases including major terrorism cases, murders and other cases of significant public interest. His reports have been cited in major judgments and are respected for their thoroughness, fairness and clarity.

Patrick also takes a small number of referrals of clients requiring assistance with (non-forensic) counselling and clinical matters.
